UV disinfection has been used for several decades now. It has proven to be a very effective alternative to the use of chemicals. As a result of that, new developments still take place on a very frequent basis.
Because R&D is one of the pillars on which Berson UV has been built, we have often lead the way when it came to applying new UV disinfection technology. Some of the highlights in our R&D history:
Development of bersonMultiWaveâ medium pressure lamp technology.
bersonMultiWave® is one of the most efficient technologies in its class. Medium pressure UV disinfection technology allows for a very compact design of reactors through very high power to size ratios of the lamps. Medium pressure technology with its broad band of UV transmittance prevents bacteria from reactivating themselves under any circumstances.
For more information on medium pressure UV disinfection technology and reactivation of bacteria go to UV technology
Development of bersonInLine® UV reactors with lamps placed perpendicular to the flow.
Smallest possible footprint for a UV reactor saving space but also investments in piping as needed for traditional “Z” or “U”-design reactors. Lowest maintanance cost through low number of components and easy access.

There are undoubtely other developments on their way that may be of interest to you. We will gladly discuss your specific disinfection needs with you.
